Album story
Raw honesty defines every track on this record, turning personal heartbreak into a modern soul masterpiece. The songwriting cuts deep, balancing sharp wit with a vulnerability that feels like a private diary set to music.
Mark Ronson’s production channels the grit and warmth of 1960s girl groups, giving the arrangements a timeless, cinematic quality. It captures a specific moment in mid-2000s London where retro R&B sensibilities collided with a distinctly contemporary, unfiltered edge.
