Brand New Morning

Stripped back to just an acoustic guitar and a voice, this record reveals a vulnerable side of a songwriter usually known for his roaring stadium rock. It serves as a rare, intimate snapshot of a musician testing his own limits before his massive commercial breakthrough.

Recorded in 1971, the tracks reflect the raw, folk-influenced singer-songwriter movement that dominated the early seventies. The sparse production highlights the storytelling craft that would eventually define a legendary career.
