Kiss

Four guys from New York City arrived in 1974 with greasepaint on their faces and a mission to turn rock and roll into a full-blown spectacle. Tracks like 'Strutter' and 'Deuce' proved that underneath the theatrics, they were a tight, hungry band with a knack for writing absolute anthems.

Recorded on a shoestring budget for Casablanca Records, the sound is raw, punchy, and captures the grit of the early seventies club scene. It is the blueprint for the arena rock explosion that followed, blending heavy riffs with a glam-rock sensibility that felt dangerous and exciting.
