Sleeps With Angels

Shadows loom large over these tracks, as the record serves as a somber, reflective response to the tragic death of Kurt Cobain. Neil Young channels a haunting, melancholic energy here, moving away from his usual distortion to explore themes of loss and the fragility of life.

Recorded during a period of creative restlessness, the album leans into moody, atmospheric blues-rock and experimental textures. It captures a raw, late-night intimacy that feels both deeply personal and starkly detached from the grunge scene that was mourning its own sudden end.
