Album story
Jello Biafra and his crew delivered a scathing, satirical takedown of American politics that remains as sharp today as it was in 1980. Tracks like 'California Über Alles' and 'Holiday In Cambodia' prove that punk could be both incredibly catchy and deeply intellectual.
Recorded on a shoestring budget, the album captures the raw, frantic energy of the early San Francisco hardcore scene. Its biting humor and surf-rock-infused guitar lines defined the sound of a generation frustrated by the status quo.
