Pretzel Logic

Jazz-rock perfection meets cynical wit on this record, which features the band's biggest hit, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number." It marks the moment the group shifted away from a traditional touring ensemble toward a focused, studio-centric project driven by meticulous arrangements.

Sharp production and sophisticated chord changes define the sound, blending pop sensibilities with an unmistakable bebop influence. The tracks feel like a collection of short stories, balancing tight musicianship with a cool, detached lyrical style that became the hallmark of the era.
