Album story
Guitar interplay reaches a peak here as the band balances jagged, experimental noise with surprisingly melodic song structures. Tracks like "Pattern Recognition" and "Dude Ranch Nurse" showcase a band that had mastered the art of tension and release after decades of playing together.
Released during a period of creative resurgence for the group, this record captures a polished yet gritty aesthetic that feels quintessentially New York. It stands as a testament to their ability to remain relevant and avant-garde while embracing more traditional rock sensibilities.
