Album story
These tracks offer a rare, intimate look at the songwriter's more traditional pop sensibilities, long before his experimental cello works became legendary. Many of these songs were pulled from his personal archives, revealing a tender, melodic side of his craft that remained largely unheard during his lifetime.
Recorded between 1974 and 1990, the collection captures a raw, homespun aesthetic that feels like a private diary set to music. It sits comfortably outside the avant-garde scene he was known for, showcasing a stripped-back approach that highlights his unique, fragile vocal delivery.
