A-ha returned to their roots with this 2005 release, proving their songwriting prowess extended well beyond their eighties synth-pop origins. The title track stands out as a quintessential piece of their mature sound, blending melancholic lyrics with a driving, radio-friendly melody that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

Production on the record leans into a sophisticated mix of organic rock instrumentation and polished electronic textures. It captures a band comfortable in their own skin, moving away from the pressure of chart-topping trends to focus on the atmospheric, guitar-driven alternative pop that defined their later career.
