Double albums often feel bloated, but this 1980 release serves as a masterclass in versatility, showcasing a dizzying blend of lightning-fast acoustic fretwork and fusion experimentation. It captures a pivotal moment where technical precision meets a newfound sense of worldly, melodic storytelling.

Recorded at the height of the jazz-rock era, the production leans into a lush, expansive sound that feels both polished and deeply adventurous. It remains a definitive statement from the fusion scene, balancing intricate compositions with the rhythmic warmth of Latin influences.
