Updates
September update: discographies, anniversaries and a smoother camera
This month's work is now in Plastic for iPhone. Update to the latest version for artist discographies that put your collection in context, album anniversaries to inspire your next listen, and a faster, smoother camera for the records you find along the way.

Artist discographies, properly organised
When you love a few records by an artist, there's usually more to explore. We've reworked artist pages to help you make sense of their catalogue and see where your own collection fits into it.
Start with Albums for the main catalogue, or head to Singles & EPs to explore beyond it. Live recordings and Compilations have separate sections, while Other releases and Unofficial keep the less straightforward entries distinct. Tap a section's heading to browse that part of the discography on its own.
At the top of the page, the artist's photo and biography introduce their story. Collected and Wishlisted bring together the records you've saved, so you can switch between what you own and what you've been looking for.
Your collection and wishlist markers also appear as you explore the discography. You can see how an album fits into the artist's work and whether it's already on your shelf, without going back to search your collection.
With Gorillaz, you can start with the albums you own, explore an EP you haven't heard, then look through their live recordings. We've improved release classification to keep those sections better organised, and artist catalogues continue to update as new releases are added.

On this day: celebrate an album's anniversary
An album's anniversary is a good excuse to give it another listen, or finally hear it for the first time. On this day now sits at the top of Radar, with a daily selection of well-known albums released on this date in years past.
The selection goes beyond your own collection. Open an album to explore its tracks, listen to available previews or follow its streaming links, and read the story behind it. You might rediscover an old favourite or get to know a record you've heard about for years but never played.
It's a way to mark the occasion through the music itself, and spend a little more time with albums that have meant something to people. On this day is also in Radar on Android.
Faster, smoother scanning
The camera is quicker to open and feels smoother to use. In Auto, scan a barcode or take a photo of the cover without switching modes first. You can still tap the barcode or cover icon when you prefer one method.

Thanks for the feedback and screen recordings you've sent us this month. They've helped shape this update.
