Album story
City pop doesn't get much more iconic than this 1983 masterpiece, which features the massive hit 'Cat's Eye' alongside some of the genre's most infectious grooves. It captures a specific, sun-drenched energy that has made it a holy grail for collectors and a staple of modern internet-era discovery.
Produced during the height of Japan's bubble-era optimism, the record blends sophisticated synth-pop arrangements with smooth, breezy melodies. The crisp 2023 remaster brings out the warmth of the original studio sessions, making it feel just as vibrant today as it did four decades ago.
