Eye On You

Ramsey Lewis stepped away from his traditional piano jazz roots to embrace the late eighties club scene with this high-energy release. These tracks focus entirely on the Jackmaster Swing remix, turning his signature style into a rhythmic, dance-floor-ready experience.

Columbia pushed this record into the heart of the burgeoning jazz-funk and house crossover era. The production leans heavily on the crisp, programmed beats and synth-heavy textures that defined the sound of 1989 urban radio.
