Hasta El Cielo

Stripping away the lush layers of their second studio album to reveal a skeletal, bass-heavy core, this project reimagines the trio's signature psychedelic soul through the prism of classic Jamaican dub. By emphasizing the rhythmic pocket and spatial echoes, the tracks transform from tight instrumental grooves into expansive, atmospheric soundscapes that pay homage to the roots of sound system culture. The inclusion of legendary producer Scientist on the closing tracks bridges the gap between Houston’s eclectic global influences and the foundational techniques of King Tubby’s protégé, cementing the band's reputation for cross-continental genre-bending.
