Album story
The soundtrack to this cult classic film functions as a perfect time capsule of the late 2000s indie scene. It leans heavily into the Smiths-obsessed romanticism of the protagonist, blending iconic British jangle-pop with the whimsical, acoustic-driven tracks that defined the era's aesthetic.
Listeners get a curated mix of established indie royalty like The Temper Trap and Feist alongside essential deep cuts from the 80s. The selection captures that specific bittersweet feeling of a summer romance, balancing upbeat synthesizers with melancholic melodies that feel both nostalgic and timeless.
