Ain't No Mystery Remixes

Emerging from the underground scene of late 1990s Tokyo, this release captures the foundational synergy between a burgeoning production mastermind and L Universe, the artist who would later gain international fame as Verbal of M-Flo. As one of the earliest entries in the Hyde Out Productions catalog, the record serves as a blueprint for the soulful, jazz-inflected hip hop sound that eventually defined an entire subgenre of lo-fi music. The inclusion of a mysterious bonus track labeled as a part of a forthcoming song provides a rare glimpse into the label's early creative process, making it a significant historical artifact for students of Japanese beat-making. With demand from collectors far outstripping the number of copies currently in circulation, the 12-inch remains a highly sought-after piece of vinyl history. It bridges the gap between traditional boom bap and the more atmospheric, melodic textures that would become a global phenomenon in the years following its 1999 debut. The presence of the instrumental and acappella versions further emphasizes the label's commitment to the craft of DJing and remix culture, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of the independent Japanese hip hop movement.
