Natty Dread

Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer had recently departed the group, marking a major turning point that allowed the band to evolve into a tighter, more international unit. This record introduced the I Threes, including Rita Marley, who provided the iconic vocal harmonies that became synonymous with the group's signature sound.

Recorded during a period of intense creative transition, the production captures a gritty, roots-reggae atmosphere that feels both urgent and deeply soulful. Released through Tuff Gong, these tracks reflect the raw energy of the mid-seventies Jamaican music scene as it began to reach a global audience.
