Open Up And Say ...Ahh!

Defining the peak of the 1980s glam metal explosion, this 1988 release solidified the transition from Sunset Strip club acts to global arena headliners. It masterfully balances high-energy party anthems like "Nothin' But A Good Time" with the vulnerability of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," a track that became a definitive blueprint for the power ballad genre. The record's blend of polished production and rebellious attitude captured the zeitgeist of a decade obsessed with melodic hard rock and theatrical performance.

Beyond the radio hits, the album features a cover of Loggins and Messina’s "Your Mama Don't Dance," showcasing a knack for reinterpreting classic rock through a heavy, glam-infused lens. With tens of thousands of collectors seeking out this pressing, its enduring popularity highlights its status as a cornerstone of the hard rock canon, representing the era's unique intersection of pop sensibility and heavy guitar riffs.
