Melophobia

Matt Shultz wrote these songs while dealing with a paralyzing fear of fame, which explains the manic, unpredictable energy throughout the record. It marks a clear departure from their garage rock roots into something much more experimental and psychedelic.

Produced by Jay Joyce, the album leans heavily into vintage synths and quirky production tricks. It captures a band mid-transformation, balancing radio-friendly hooks with a strange, anxious undercurrent.
