Massive Attack V. Mad Professor Part II (Mezzanine Remix Tapes '98)

Mad Professor took the dark, cinematic tension of the original Mezzanine sessions and completely dismantled it through his signature dub-heavy lens. These remixes transform familiar, brooding textures into expansive, echo-drenched soundscapes that feel both ghostly and rhythmically hypnotic.

These tracks capture the late-nineties obsession with remix culture, where the boundary between trip-hop and traditional Jamaican dub became beautifully blurred. The production leans heavily into deep, cavernous basslines and swirling delays, offering a rare, psychedelic companion piece to one of the most iconic albums of the decade.
