Album story
New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint sits down at his piano for this intimate live set, stripping his classic compositions back to their raw, rhythmic bones. You get the rare chance to hear the master explain his own songwriting process between tracks, turning a concert into a conversation.
Recorded with a minimalist approach, the record captures the soulful, syncopated heartbeat of the Crescent City. It feels like a private performance in a dimly lit club, highlighting the effortless elegance and deep blues tradition that defined his long career.
