Album story
Traditional Japanese folk songs collide with early nineties dance floor aesthetics in this wildly experimental project. It reimagines classic min'yo melodies through the lens of house music, resulting in a surreal blend of shamisen riffs and programmed drum machines.
Production here captures the adventurous spirit of the Japanese club scene during the peak of the bubble era. Each track pushes the boundaries of genre, balancing authentic vocal performances with the frantic, high-energy synthesizers that defined the underground sound of 1991.
