Vocalcity

Deep house music rarely feels this expansive or cinematic, turning repetitive loops into emotional landscapes that stretch for ten minutes at a time. It manages to make the dancefloor feel like a lonely, beautiful city street at three in the morning.

Released on the legendary Force Inc. label, this record defined the microhouse sound of the early 2000s. The production relies on heavily processed vocal fragments and crisp, clicking percussion that perfectly captures the chilly, digital atmosphere of the turn of the millennium.
