No More Tears / Eyl Booty

These two tracks represent a pivotal moment in the late 2000s UK bass evolution, blending sub-heavy weight with a surprisingly melodic, almost pop-inflected sensibility. It is a record that feels equally at home in a dark, sweaty basement club and on a late-night radio broadcast.

Berkane Sol was instrumental in pushing this specific hybrid of dubstep and funky house during that era. The production here is crisp and lean, relying on sharp percussion and deep, resonant low-end frequencies that define the signature sound of the label's 2009 output.
