All On The First Day

Private pressing enthusiasts often point to this record as a quintessential example of the British folk underground. Its raw, intimate songwriting feels like a secret shared between friends, recorded with a sincerity that rarely survived the transition to major studio productions.

The music reflects the modest, homespun aesthetic of the early seventies DIY scene. Stripped-back arrangements and gentle acoustic textures define the listening experience, offering a quiet, melancholic window into a specific moment of English pastoral folk.
