Morning Phase

Many listeners consider this record a spiritual successor to the melancholic folk sound found on 2002's Sea Change. It trades the frantic, genre-hopping energy of earlier work for a patient, acoustic-driven introspection that feels like a slow sunrise.

Warm, lush arrangements define the production, utilizing sweeping strings and delicate piano to create a cinematic, atmospheric landscape. Released on Capitol Records, the album captures a seasoned songwriter leaning into his most vulnerable and melodic instincts.
