Dreamboat Annie

Ann and Nancy Wilson defied the male-dominated rock scene of the mid-seventies by blending aggressive acoustic folk with hard-hitting electric riffs. The record centers on the sisters' journey from the Pacific Northwest to Canada, where they found the creative freedom to craft their signature sound.

Recorded in Vancouver, the production balances delicate, pastoral arrangements with the raw, muscular energy of a band hitting its stride. It remains a quintessential piece of seventies rock that feels both intimate in its storytelling and massive in its guitar-driven ambition.
