Reality Awaits

The Strokes return with a jagged, restless energy that feels like a direct response to the digital noise of the mid-2020s. Tracks like 'Psycho Shit' and 'Tyrants of the Mellow Moon' showcase a band leaning into sharper, more erratic guitar textures than we have heard from them in years.

Production on this record favors a raw, live-room aesthetic that strips away the polished sheen of their recent work. It carries the weight of a band comfortable in their own skin, trading nostalgic hooks for a sound that feels distinctly modern and unapologetically unrefined.
