Tight Knit

Andy Cabic moved away from the hushed, intimate acoustic arrangements of his earlier work to embrace a fuller, more collaborative band sound here. It captures a sense of sun-drenched ease, feeling like a long drive down the coast with the windows rolled down.

Recorded during the height of the mid-2000s indie-folk revival, the production leans into a warm, classic rock aesthetic that feels both timeless and lived-in. Released on Sub Pop, the record benefits from a clean, crisp mix that lets the interplay between the guitars and steady rhythm section really shine.
