The Eraser

Thom Yorke stepped away from the Radiohead machine to craft this intimate, jittery collection of songs. He built the foundation of the record around looped piano phrases and glitchy, programmed beats that feel like a nervous system under pressure.

Released on XL Recordings, the album leans heavily into the IDM and experimental textures that defined the mid-2000s electronic underground. It captures a distinct sense of isolation, trading stadium-sized rock arrangements for claustrophobic, late-night digital pulses.
