Absolutely Live

Jim Morrison famously viewed this double LP as a way to finally document the band's unpredictable stage presence, which often veered between shamanistic poetry and pure chaos. It remains the definitive snapshot of their live intensity, featuring the complete, sprawling performance of 'The Celebration of the Lizard' that fans had been waiting years to hear.

Recorded across various shows in 1969 and 1970, the production captures the raw, blues-drenched grit of the late sixties psychedelic scene. You can practically feel the sweat and tension in the room as the band stretches their studio hits into extended, improvisational jams that define their darker, swampy sound.
