Resurfaced

Detroit techno collective Scan 7 operates with a mysterious, masked persona that keeps the focus entirely on the machine-driven funk. This 1999 release serves as a masterclass in tension, blending cold, industrial textures with deeply human, soulful rhythms that feel like they were pulled straight from the city's concrete heart.

Deeply rooted in the Underground Resistance orbit, the production carries that signature grit and uncompromising futuristic vision. It captures a pivotal moment when the raw, hardware-heavy sound of the nineties was evolving into something more refined yet no less intense.
