Lajon Witherspoon’s soulful, gospel-inflected vocals provide a unique counterpoint to the band’s aggressive, down-tuned riffs. This record solidified the group's reputation for blending raw melodic sensibility with the heavy, rhythmic intensity that defined their early sound.
