Changin' Times

Ike White recorded this entire masterpiece while serving a life sentence at Ohio State Reformatory. The music defies the circumstances of its creation, offering a sophisticated blend of deep soul and gritty funk that feels both urgent and remarkably polished.

Jerry Goldstein produced these sessions with a cinematic flair that highlights White's smooth vocal delivery and tight arrangements. It remains a hidden gem of the seventies, capturing a raw, soulful energy that sounds just as vital today as it did decades ago.
